Situated in an acre of landscaped grounds in Chelsea, this former Edwardian school building is the product of a ten-year partnership between several signature architects and interior designers. In total, the project comprises of seven super-prime apartments and two villas. Westgreen’s task on this development is to undertake the fit-out of a lateral apartment within the scheme. The emphasis throughout is to create an elegant residence in a palette of rich tones and sumptuous finishes. The aesthetic is a considered mix of artisanal craftsmanship and include bespoke hand-painted De Gournay wall coverings, fine lacquered carpentry and bronze detailing. Mechanical, electrical and audio-visual systems have been completely revised so as to be fully automated and largely concealed. As with other aspects of the fit-out, the lighting scheme is carefully specified and heightened in the implementation through a variation in type (including a chandelier centrepiece), mirroring and the use of polished surfaces. The nature of this project makes it ideally suited to our Special Projects & Aftercare team, who are positioned within our business to offer a bespoke and dynamic service on niche projects.
