Created by architect Adam Kalkin under the patronage of UNESCO, Musée Mobile is a containerised portable space that has been created to bring the work of internationally renowned contemporary artists direct to children.

In the course of a year, the project will travel through France and Africa, covering 8,000km and culminating in Dakar for the African Contemporary Art Biennale in 2012.

Being versed with the exacting nature of the artist’s work, and having contributed to previous examples of James Turrell’s Perpetual Cell series, Westgreen were once again appointed to contribute our design and construction expertise.

Where art meets architecture, we have always been able to rely on Westgreen. Across so many miles and countries, the Mobile Museum has permitted James Turrell’s bright artwork to keep shining and amazing the children all around the world.

“A big and warm ‘thank you’ to the whole Westgreen’s team!
