Occupying ground and basement, Galerie Bastian is situated in a 20th century townhouse near Berkeley Square in Mayfair.

Designed by David Chipperfield Architects, this former retail unit has now converted into a bespoke art gallery for the client. The space has been stripped back to shell & core, and revamped with new pristine interior.

Working to a fast-track programme, the works were delivered within an 8-week programme. The opening of this new space in January 2019 coincided with the Bastian’s thirtieth anniversary and is their first new gallery outside Berlin.

Westgreen … from the beginning adopted an enthusiastic, can-do attitude …The outcome has not only pleased our joint client, but also the project team, who enjoyed the collaborative process.
— Oliver Ulmer, David Chipperfield Architects
Westgreen’s team went out of their way to ensure that the proposed schedule can be met … Throughout the entire process we felt that Westgreen fully understood our needs and our requests were always treated with priority. We are delighted with the outcome of the works which were carried out to the highest standards. It was a pleasure working with Westgreen’s team and we would certainly recommend their services.
