Stephen Friedman Gallery

Designed by award-winning David Kohn Architects, the project involved a fit-out of two floors to provide generous exhibition spaces, a new mezzanine level, offices, art storage, welfare facilities and other ancillary facilities associated with running a thriving gallery. Externally, a new landscaped courtyard garden on Cork Street Mews created a new space for the presentation of outdoor sculpture. The project supported Stephen Friedman Gallery’s ambitious plans for growth, consolidating existing exhibition spaces in Old Burlington Street into a single bespoke destination in a location that has a rich history of association with artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Francis Bacon.
