Westgreen and guests had recently went on a walking tour of The Barbican Estate. A grade-II listed site, the Barbican is one of London's best examples of brutalist architecture. Thank you to our knowledgeable guide, who was able to present the impressive complex in detail, explaining the history behind the design.
Behind the facade, Westgreen have completed craning in the precast concrete structure, fabricated off-site, which will be followed by the roof slab and the descending curved glass windows. These will be assembled from the centre of the helicoid structure outwards.
Our versatile site manager Joe Houlihan mobilised his team for a one-off installation at Truman Brewery for architects Al-Jawad Pike.
Our site team have completed piling, basement formation and slab cast at Duke of York Restaurant. Now begins the process of craning in the precast structure and retractable curved glazed wall.
Westgreen have collaborated with the ICA on the refurbishment of their space at The Mall, as part of a masterplan aiming to optimise the available space and to reveal details of the original architecture project dated from the 1960s.
Westgreen are now on site for a high-specification luxury apartment fit-out on the 30th floor of London's Southbank Tower.
