Westgreen were delighted to warmly welcome client and consultant team to join us for a milestone ceremony at the Duke of York Restaurant. Westgreen and guests had recently went on a walking tour of The Barbican Estate. A grade-II listed site, the Barbican is one of London's best examples of brutalist architecture. Thank you to our knowledgeable guide, who was able to present the impressive complex in detail, explaining the history behind the design.
Behind the facade, Westgreen have completed craning in the precast concrete structure, fabricated off-site, which will be followed by the roof slab and the descending curved glass windows. These will be assembled from the centre of the helicoid structure outwards.
