Our completed refurbishment and fit-out of a Grade II listed townhouse in Belgravia for Eric Parry Architects has now been photographed by Dirk Lindner, including this image of the project’s central feature: an elliptical staircase comprising a skeletal stainless steel frame with an undercarriage of pitted stainless steel sheeting that sweeps the contour of the ellipse itself. The treads and risers were then clad in pre-cast terrazzo by Vicenza-based stone specialists, Laboratorio Morseletto. A delicate balustrade lined with stainless steel spindles is capped with a bronze handrail finished by Paris-based Meriguet in Verde gris, with final finish applied in situ.

The shape of the staircase mirrors the ceiling above, in which is featured an integrated bespoke lighting sculpture by renowned artist, Ingo Maurer.
